Here is my Response to the given task Click Here

Q.....differentiate between Classicism and Romanticism.

Classicim -The imitation or use primarily of the style and aesthetic principles of ancient Greek and Romanti classical art and literatuer . The term ' Neo - classicism ' is often used in referring to revivals of classicism Romanticism-It is a movment in the liteature that llasted from about 1750 to about 1870 characterised by reliance on the lmagination and subjectivity of approach freedom of thought and expression and an idealization of nature.

Classicism - intellect is the guiding forceal poet or author .How a particular poet chooses how he places and plays around with that , is that sense.

Romanticism - imagination is the guiding source.

Q..... Why does Wordsworth say 'What' is poet? rather than Who is poet?

A poet is a man speaking with more lively sensibility.
A poet is a man speaking to man, endowed with more liveiy sensibility, more enthusiasm and tenderness ,Who has a greater knowledge of human nature, and a more comprchensive soul, Who rejoices, more ther other men in the spirit of ife , habitually impelled to creative volitons, passions and situations .
Wordsworth has to say about what is a poet the entity called poet is such a human being Who is overall in degrce a far better human being that ordinary human being .This is a Sense that still parsist Whenever we say we introduce say that such and such person is an artist the others seem to come into some kind of an awe isn it happens . Wordsworth is saying is not absolutely someting which is wrong.

Q..... What is poetic diction? Which sort of poetic diction is suggested by Wordsworth in his Preface?

Dicition means choice f words a choice of words which then lends a unique style for each individual poet chooses his or her own language ?And then how he places and plays around with that , in that sense.

Wordsworth is taking a kind of an arguments against then . Nowhe then says that he is interested in writign these poems and lyrical ballads in the language ar really used by man and mentioned very rightly that this is very controversical who raised the controversy first.

Wordsworth poetic diction where he actually questions that my dear friend Wordsworth what do you actually mean by language really used by  men . Which reality Which used real men , implying that are the people who are erodied city dwellers not real men . 'The language as really used by men'

Q.....What is poetry?

1798 in the important year. Lyrical Ballads was published and Wordsworth preface to it .

1798 edition is an advertisement, a brief advertisement in which Wordsworth has elaborated his viers definition of poetry.

Elizabethan age this period we find that it was more transnational movement.Lyrical Ballads different form the kind of poetry that was being written during the neo - classical age . Wordsworth the first critic of his poetry in idea and poetry organic unity between the two and sonetiomes his ideas

Behold her single in the field ,
         yon solitary Highland lass..

Q.....Discuss 'Daffodils - I wandered lonely as a cloud' with reference to Wordsworth's poetic creed.

Pome  Daffodils  1804
           I wandered lonely as a cloud .......
Ten thousand saw i at a glance
means the poem begins with ibegins with
For off what on my couch i lie
in vacant or in pensive mood
They flash apon that inward eye
                    Which is the ............

Now that takes it into the present so it we can imagine the poet reclining on a couch recollectind his Nature 'Lake poets' poet very famous for their walk have seen the whole wide stretch of Daffodils and he must , captured that and now he lies there is also typical to specially Wordsworth and subsidiary romantic poets, the city country side divige.

When he is vacant often he is in a city, Ambiance , and when he is very vitally in encrgized he is always in a ....... lap of nature , when he is in a vacant or in pensive mood, they flash upon the inward eye .
