Here is my Response to the given task Click Here
1....What are your views on the following image after reading 'The Waste Land'? Do you think that Eliot is regressive as compared to Nietzche's views? or Has Eliot achieved universality of thought by recalling mytho-historical answer to the contemporary malaise?
T.S. Eliot and F. Nietzche |
"The Waste Land " written by T.S.Eliot's give idea about individual talent and tradition. Concept of human being myths and philosophy. Nietzsche about super human and other Eliot's idea's about forward to looks. The image is over come into T.S.Eliot's mind to connect with myths and Nietzsche's connect with philosophy.
2..... Prior to the speech, Gustaf Hellström of the Swedish Academy made these remarks:
T.S. Eliot and S. Freud |
What
are your views regarding these comments? Is it true that giving free
vent to the repressed 'primitive instinct' lead us to happy and
satisfied life? or do you agree with Eliot's view that 'salvation of man
lies in the preservation of the cultural tradition'?
Gustaf Hellstrom of the Swedish academy he days to made philosophical and it is believe in religious thinking. If follow the traditional way. Then Eliot believe in human law but Freud believe in individual thinking.
